The Bloom Bulb’s mission is to connect individuals to their community by building confidence in climate literacy through place-based climate education, ultimately leading to daily net zero action.
Inspired by nature’s ability to generate without waste, the Bloom Bulb is built with sustainable materials and methods to mimic the natural cycle of a seed.
After three stages of an interactive bloom stage, the electronics are removed, to be used in the next installation, and the living shell continues to decay naturally back into the earth, acting as a beneficial carbon sink.
Communities should not continue to only be victims of climate change, but rather become active participants of mutual flourishing.
We lay the foundations for wells of powerful, imaginative solutions to thrive through practical ideas, good people and a little hope, fueling conversation where the bulb blooms and beyond
